Blue & Sage English Cottage Living Room

Blue & Sage English Cottage Living Room

Soft blues, muted sage greens, warm woods, and layers of vintage-inspired details come together to create a living room that feels collected over time. This space was inspired by the relaxed beauty of English cottage style—comfortable and welcoming, with just enough elegance to make it feel special.

The blue and sage floral rug became the foundation for the room, bringing in the garden-inspired colors that are repeated throughout the pillows, striped accent chairs, greenery, and deep green cabinet. Warm wood furniture, woven textures, touches of brass, and softly patterned curtains add character and keep the cooler colors feeling cozy and inviting.

What I love most about this room is that nothing has to match perfectly. Instead, the pieces complement one another through color, texture, and style. A traditional chair can sit beside a cottage-inspired cabinet, florals can mix with stripes, and new pieces can live alongside items that feel as though they have been collected for years.

It’s a room designed for actually living in—curling up under a soft throw, gathering around the coffee table, or simply enjoying a space filled with things you love.

Beautiful living doesn’t have to be about following a trend. Sometimes the most beautiful rooms are simply a collection of things that feel like home.
